  1. Why should I have an air leakage test performed on my house?

Air leakage testing will identify the source of unwanted drafts and undesireable airflow through the home. Recommendations will be made on the improvements required to increase the home’s energy efficiency.

  2. How is an air leakage test performed?

The interior of the home is depressurized using a blower door assembly. Data is collected to calculate the air changes/hour and the equivalent leakage area to quantify the air leakage in the home.

  3. Is the contract for an air leakage test between the client and InSpecRes?

No, the contract is between the client and the energy advisor.
